Introduction

Webquest is an activity for students to help them better understands a certain topic by using the Internet as a resource. In this activity students will be involved in a number of fun and educational activities. Your mission is to successfully complete the assigned activities. Remember that this is a fun learning tool. Make the most out of your time while doing this webquest. Good Luck!

The Process

  1. Go to the web site:  http://wims.unice.fr/~wims/wims.cgi?lang=en&session=AR6ABBD261.1&list=123
  2. Go to the bottom of the page and play the Bar Game (the game is located under Mathematics Recreation).
  3. After playing, explain the concept of the game and how you think it can be a useful tool in mathematical learning.
  4. Go to the web site: www.aplusmath.com
  5. Read the introduction and familiarize yourself with the site.
  6. Go to the Flash Card section and go through the cards that you might need help in (you may do more than one set).
  7. Go to the web site: http://www.math.com/students/practice.html
  8. Go to the Algebra practice section.
  9. After deciding how many different types of problems you would like to do print off a worksheet.
  10. Print off an answer sheet along with your worksheet to correct your answers.
  11. Complete the worksheet and check your answers.
  12. Go back and rework the problems missed.
